DAMA International (DAMA-I) is proud to announce an ambitious global initiative to make the DAMA-DMBOK® 2.0 Revised Edition accessible to data management professionals worldwide.

Fostering a truly global community of practice

In partnership with Language Scientific and our dedicated local DAMA Member Chapters, we are translating this cornerstone publication into seven languages, ensuring that critical data management knowledge reaches practitioners across diverse linguistic communities.

This collaborative effort represents our commitment to making data management education globally accessible and fostering a truly global community of practice. Each translation is professionally translated by Language Scientific (a professional translation firm) and carefully reviewed by our local DAMA Member Chapters, who are, alongside native speakers, also experienced data management professionals, ensuring both linguistic accuracy and technical precision.

Translated Editions Coming Soon

Each translation is being developed through close collaboration between our expert translation partner Language Scientific and local DAMA Member Chapters. The translation process includes not only the full textual content, but also all supporting visuals and diagrams. We’re currently finalizing the translations, with publication expected between Q3 and Q4 of 2025.

Acknowledging Our Global Volunteers

This effort would not be possible without the dedication and expertise of volunteers from local DAMA Member Chapters. Their thorough review, thoughtful feedback, and cultural insight have been essential in ensuring the quality and relevance of each translation. We are especially grateful to the Chapter Presidents who contributed an additional preface in their native language—bringing a personal and local perspective to each edition.
